Clear terms for using LimitX.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you use LimitX for a child, family member, student, employee, or another person's device, you represent that you have the legal authority and consent required to configure monitoring, blocking, dashboard, and accountability features.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate account information.
• Keeping your account, device, PIN, passwords, and Google account secure.
• All activity that occurs through your account or configured devices.
• Making sure your use of the Service complies with applicable laws, platform rules, workplace rules, school rules, and family or guardianship obligations.

2. Purpose of the Service

LimitX is designed to help users reduce distractions, block selected apps and websites, limit short-video feeds, track screen time, configure focus sessions, display warnings, and support family/accountability monitoring. The Service is a digital wellbeing and protection tool. It is not a medical, mental-health, legal, educational, emergency, or professional advice service.

LimitX cannot guarantee that every app, website, keyword, ad, short video, screen element, uninstall attempt, or harmful action will be detected or blocked. Mobile operating systems, apps, websites, browsers, and third-party services change frequently, and protection features may vary by device, Android version, permissions, network status, app version, and user settings.

3. Permissions and User Responsibility

Some features require sensitive Android permissions or access, including Accessibility Service, Usage Access, Display Over Other Apps, Notifications, Device Admin, Query All Packages, Do Not Disturb access, Internet, Google Play Billing, and background/boot-related capabilities.

You agree that:

• You will enable only the permissions you understand and consent to.
• You may disable permissions in Android Settings, but doing so may reduce or stop the Service.
• You will not use LimitX to secretly monitor another person where you do not have lawful authority.
• You will not misrepresent LimitX as an emergency safety system, parental-control guarantee, or absolute content filter.

4. Accessibility Service Terms

LimitX uses Android Accessibility Services to provide user-enabled protection features, including app blocking, website/domain detection, keyword blocking, reels detection, selected-view blocking, warning overlays, focus enforcement, and anti-uninstall checks.

You agree that Accessibility Service access may allow LimitX to process on-screen app, website, and text information necessary for these features. You must not enable Accessibility Services on a device unless you have the right to do so and understand the related disclosures in the Privacy Policy and in-app permission screens.

LimitX does not grant itself permissions automatically. Android permissions must be enabled through Android system flows.

5. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Use the Service for unlawful surveillance, stalking, harassment, coercion, or unauthorized monitoring.
• Use the Service to collect, infer, or disclose another person's private information without proper authority.
• Bypass, attack, reverse engineer, tamper with, disrupt, or overload the Service, backend, billing systems, ads, or dashboard.
• Abuse free passes, rewarded ads, support passes, referrals, ratings, refunds, trials, subscriptions, or device limits.
• Upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other users.
• Use the Service in a way that violates Google Play policies, YouTube API terms, Supabase terms, Google terms, or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms are violated, if required by law or platform policy, or if needed to protect users, the Service, or third parties.

6. Premium, Subscriptions, Billing, and Passes

LimitX may offer free features, Premium subscriptions, Premium Plus subscriptions, lifetime purchases, rewarded-ad passes, support passes, trials, discounts, or promotional access. Features and prices may change over time.

Payments made through Google Play are processed by Google Play. Your purchase may also be subject to Google Play's terms, billing rules, subscription rules, cancellation process, and payment policies.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the renewal date. Uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a subscription. You are responsible for managing or cancelling subscriptions through Google Play.

Purchase tokens and subscription details may be verified through our backend and Google Play APIs to prevent fraud and restore legitimate access. If verification fails, access may be denied, delayed, revoked, or temporarily granted under a grace period at our discretion.

Support passes and rewarded-ad passes are limited, time-based, promotional, and subject to cooldowns, device checks, account checks, availability, and abuse prevention. We may modify, limit, or discontinue them at any time.

7. No Refund Policy

All purchases, subscriptions, lifetime purchases, paid upgrades, and digital access purchases are final and non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law.

LimitX does not provide refunds for:

• Changing your mind.
• Forgetting to cancel a subscription.
• Not using the Service.
• Disabling required permissions.
• Device incompatibility, operating-system restrictions, or third-party app changes.
• Feature limitations caused by Android, Google Play, browsers, websites, social media apps, or device manufacturers.
• Account suspension or termination caused by violation of these Terms.
• Loss of access caused by uninstalling the app, clearing data, changing devices, or failing purchase verification.

If Google Play or applicable law requires a refund, that refund will be handled according to Google Play's refund process or applicable legal requirements. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract.

8. Dashboard, Family, and Accountability Features

The LimitX dashboard may show device status, violations, keywords, app names, app package names, streaks, reels counts, reports, subscription status, and connected YouTube summaries. If you configure a dashboard for family or accountability use, you are responsible for telling affected users what is monitored and obtaining required consent.

You must not use dashboard features for covert surveillance or for monitoring a person where you do not have legal authority.

9. Google, YouTube, Ads, and Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, Google Play services, YouTube Data API, Supabase, Android WebView, and other service providers. Third-party services may change, become unavailable, impose limits, or require separate terms.

If you connect YouTube or Google account features, your use is also subject to Google's terms and the YouTube API Services Terms. You may revoke Google/YouTube access through the dashboard or Google account settings.

We are not responsible for third-party services, third-party websites, ads, external links, payment processors, Android system behavior, app stores, browsers, or social media platforms.

10. User Content and Settings

You may create settings, app groups, focus groups, keywords, warning messages, reports, dashboard profile labels, notes, bookmarks, browsing history, and other configuration data ("User Content").

You keep any rights you have in your User Content. You give us permission to host, process, display, sync, analyze, and use User Content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content is lawful and does not violate the rights of others.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information. By using the Service, you agree that we may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Service Changes and Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, remove, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also release updates that change functionality, permissions, pricing, limits, eligibility, or supported platforms.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. Some features depend on Android permissions, Accessibility Service availability, Usage Access, Google Play services, network access, backend services, device manufacturer behavior, and third-party apps or websites.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

LimitX does not guarantee:

• Complete blocking of all apps, websites, reels, ads, adult content, keywords, or harmful material.
• Correct detection of every usage event, website, screen element, short video, uninstall attempt, or violation.
• That the Service will improve focus, wellbeing, relationships, safety, productivity, school performance, or health outcomes.
• Compatibility with every Android device, browser, social media app, website, region, Google Play account, or future operating-system version.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LimitX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost access, device issues, missed blocks, subscription charges, or third-party conduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to LimitX through Google Play for the Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $10 if you paid nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold LimitX harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your unauthorized monitoring or configuration of another person's device or account.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may uninstall the app, disable permissions, cancel subscriptions through Google Play, revoke Google connections, or request account deletion.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk, abuse the Service, fail purchase verification, misuse passes, or if we are required to do so by law, platform rules, or security needs.

Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Sections intended to survive termination will continue to apply, including payment, no-refund, privacy, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute-related provisions.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled in a court or forum with proper jurisdiction unless applicable law provides you a different mandatory right.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when the Terms were last revised. If changes are material, we may provide notice in the app, dashboard, website, or by another reasonable method. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
